At a ceremony in Oklahoma City on September 16th, Newkirk Electric received an award for their outstanding dedication and performance on the multi-year CARSR (Common Air Route Surveillance Radar) Program. The program was designed to extend the lifecycle of the current long range radar owned and operated by the FAA.
Newkirk was responsible for installation of the equipment at multiple sites across the country over a six year period. According to one Department of Defense Representative, “Since 1988 when I was first exposed to contracts, contractors and acquisition, in all those years, I have never had the experience of a well-rounded team of folks who flawlessly executed, delivered and managed a program, phenomenal.” Another Technical Lead commented, “There’s working hard, and then there’s working smart…the best program ever executed.”
Newkirk Electric was proud to be an integral part of this program.
